CISSP

1 – Hi all, just wanted to share what i used as prep and some thoughts on the exam. Watched the Cybrary Videos. Read the Official CBK v2. I read some of the recommended reading. Used SkillSet web questions. Used the ISC Quizlet Flashcards. I can honestly say the exam did not test the content. There was alot of reasoning that had to go into most answers and my few years in InfoSec and some other course content I’ve covered helped me pass the exam. They either need to release a new CBK, or reevaluate their question bank.

2 – I just passed today the exam. I studied using: Official (ISC)2 Guide to the CSSLP, second edition. I did additionally exercise using the questions/answers contained in: CSSLP Certification All-in-One Exam Guide

3 – Studied the all-in-one book and ISC2 exam prep “express certifications”. Based upon my experience, don’t waste money on the aftermarket products like Test King. Maybe you will find useful but I didn’t. The exam is like CISSP exam in terms of questions. The exam provide at least two correct answers and you had to evaulate the answers to see the implications behind each answer. In the end, it really called on my experience and what I knew about app security. 175 questions took me 2 hours or so.
